I thought it would be awesome to highlight some of my favorite images that I took this year of clients. There are so many photographs that I just love and I can’t wait for next year, when I make more beautiful works of art. Without further ado, here are my favorites of 2009!

The mom of this family was one lucky woman on Christmas morning. She opened up a gift with portraits of her children that everyone managed to keep a surprise. This is why I am not posting until after Christmas day, just in case someone recognized them on here and told her.

Ewan and Flavie were wonderful to photograph on a chilly, late November day at Fisherman’s Cove. We had a great time and captured some beautiful images.

Merry Christmas

December 25, 2009

Its the time of year that the snow blanketing the ground is dreamt of. The time that you want to be curled up in a warm blanket by a crackling fireplace next to your family with a cup of hot cider or wassail in your hand. The hustle and bustle of Christmas Preparations are finished, the excitement of Christmas morning is over and all that is left is to cook that delicious turkey for Christmas dinner.

This is a different Christmas for me, no snow, sand instead. I hope that being at a secluded beach, just my husband and I there, is as good as being in New Brunswick with my big family.

I want to wish everyone reading this a Merry Christmas! I hope your holidays are absolutely wonderful!

Away from the office…

December 18, 2009

… and on vacation to Cuba! I will be away from all things work related until January 5th so I can enjoy the holidays with my husband. Feel free to e-mail and I will get back to you after the 5th. We are leaving in the early morning for Cayo Coco and I can’t wait. I will be sure to post pictures from the trip after I have returned.

Happy Holidays!

I love to bake. I absolutely love it. When I was growing up, I would be my mom’s helper in the kitchen, probably making more of a mess then I should have. Because my mom is amazing, she taught me the basics of how to make most things and I have been using that  knowledge to be fearless in the kitchen. This past fall, I think I have been too fearless, using too many eggs, pounds of sugar and sticks of butter, to attempt recipes that are super complicated. I must admit, many things have not turned out just like the are supposed to in the pages of Martha Stewart Living. Instead, they were an utter failure.

I have a friend though, Kristina, that has become my baking partner in crime. We have spent lots of time in my kitchen experimenting with making French Macarons. Each batch we make is an improvement on the last and they are so delicious. My favorite flavour was mint chocolate, coloured to be a bright teal.

I photographed the mint chocolate flavour and the lemon that we made. Enjoy!
