I am so thrilled to post our very own wedding photographs. I am so in love with them and can’t stop looking at them. It is so great to now know how all of my brides feel on their wedding day and to have pictures that reflect how I was feeling and the days events. I do not think our day could have been any more perfect for us- even the little bloopers throughout the day made it even more memorable. Enough talk, onto the pictures!
After 18 months of planning, all my bridesmaids and I started the day off at the salon. My cousin Jessie and Michelle did our hair
Then off have my makeup done by Patti at Made You Blush

I don’t know which groomsman it was that suggested this shot, or if it was an accumulation of each of their ideas while taking other gorgeous group photos in the middle of a tree lined country road but I love it. Heather did an awesome job arranging each of the guys and getting them to do their GQ/gangster poses.

We took all of our photographs before the ceremony (including bridal party, family photographs and Justin and I alone) so our guests didn’t have to wait for us to arrive at the reception. I love it when my couples do this for their own weddings. It takes so much stress out of the day and I loved seeing Justin before the ceremony. It made it even better to walk down the aisle having already spent time with him that day and being even more reassured of how much he loves me and how much I love him.

Our ceremony was held at a historical Court House with awesome wallpaper and paint. I loved that the vintage in the Court House fit in with our vintage theme.

As soon as the ceremony finished we ran to this field outside of the courthouse for a few more photographs before the sun went down.

To keep with the vintage theme, our reception was held at a mansion-turned museum owned by the Carleton County Historical Society. It was the perfect place for us. Lots of vintage furniture, paintings and original features in the rooms.

We exited our reception with a sparkler exit. I really recommend coming up with a special way to exit your reception… it makes for fun photographs!

Now for the best part… the food. I still want to eat more when I see it. Another cousin of mine is a Chef with an extra, specialized degree in Pastry Arts. She was the most perfect person for the job. Every time I saw her, she would have more and more ideas for the food and I think it turned out fabulously. My favorite food were the truffles and cheesecake while I have to say that the mini coconut cream pies were Justin’s.

Thanks so much to Heather Wilkinson of Lucid Photo Imaging for these amazing photographs!
